Walk and Talk Therapy
This exciting service supports both the positive mental and physical benefits of exercise with the personal growth of therapy. The only difference between traditional therapy and Walk and Talk Therapy is that we conduct the session outdoors while walking together. The combination of therapy with exercise has a variety of benefits that include an increase in self-awareness, relaxation, and an increased ability to combat depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a future-focused, goal-directed, question-driven approach to brief therapy. It is highly successful for couples and individual seeking brief therapy for issues. I have extensive trainings in this approach and it is central to my therapeutic approach. The Solution Focused Approach is positive, respectful, and hopeful as it relies on the assumption that people have within them strong resiliencies and can utilize these to make changes in their life. At the core is the belief that most people have strength, wisdom, and experience to effect change. Together, we will work to develop solutions to your problem.
Emotional Freedom Technique
EFT Tapping
EFT Tapping involves tapping with your fingertips on acupuncture points on the hands, face, and body while focusing (temporarily) on an issue we wish to resolve. After just a few rounds of tapping, people often report feeling lighter and calmer. They may report that their thinking has changed, they have gained new insights, or they are feeling better overall.
Art & Narrative Therapy
The use of Art and Narrative Therapy has demonstrated effectiveness with PTSD, Trauma, Children, and Adults who have not responded well to traditional talk therapy approaches. I have completed level one certification for Visual Journaling and Expressive Arts Training: ARTS-BASED NARRATIVE APPROACHES TO SELF-REGULATION AND STRESS REDUCTION. Workshops and Health Fairs
I offer a variety of topics to speak to your schools, work groups, community groups, and church groups. Some examples include relationship solutions, parenting effectiveness training, communication and child guidance, stress and conflict management, shame resilience training, etc.
I believe in supporting the health of our community. I attend local community events, races, and fairs that support and educate the community about mental health.
